Regency Café in Westminster is truly iconic, having starred in films such as Layer Cake and Rocketman. Opened in 1946 it stills retains it's retro interior complete with boxing posters and gingham curtains and the tiled Art Deco exterior is all original. Personally it's the curved Deco lettering against the shiny black tiles that stand out for me.
This relief art canvas was created by Georgina Smith in her studio in Brighton . Each artwork is built up of multiple layers of card, cut to create a 3D image, which is then drawn and painted. Her paintings centre on familiar buildings found in Brighton, with a focus on those that have a sense of faded seaside charm.
