I'm not sure of the history of Carousel's Fish and Chips but I was drawn to the typography that echoed the hand-painted fairground signage of actual carousel's. This combined with the recognisable green railings of the seafront made for a pleasing image.
This relief art canvas was created by Georgina Smith in her studio in Brighton . Each artwork is built up of multiple layers of card, cut to create a 3D image, which is then drawn and painted. Her paintings centre on familiar buildings found in Brighton, with a focus on those that have a sense of faded seaside charm.
